Timber Framed Conservatories
When building a conservatory, there are a number of benefits in choosing a timber frame.
It is a natural product, which complements your house and looks like it belongs. You are not limited to your choice of finish, and you are also not tied to your decision for the life of the product. It can be stained, painted or varnished. Its appearance can easily be changed or renewed at any time.
Timber construction adds character to your house which cannot be matched by uPVC or other artificial materials. Not only that but uPVC has now shown that it too suffers just as much from weathering as other materials. It ages and yellows over the years, and proves difficult to restore to its original condition, unlike timber which can merely be sanded and re-treated and painted.
Timber frames also lend themselves to much easier reparation should there ever be damage. The units do not have to be specially made or ordered and work can be carried out on site by any joiner or glazier.
In addition to this, timber allows for a wide variety of design options and architectural features.
